A hardware and software system created specifically for video surveillance is known as a video surveillance system (closed cable television systems, or CCTV).

A local system is one whose use and use are spatially constrained by the boundaries of a given structure, business, organization, etc. A single center and numerous video cameras are part of the centralized system. A decentralized system appears as a collection of various centralized ones that are conceptually combined into a single structure but are physically distinct and capable of operating on their own.
